Eneca is a platform for people to develop in their own skin and flourish. Our services are designed to give people with disabilities a level of support specific to their needs and lifestyle – but we don’t stop there.
Autism is a condition that affects how a person thinks, feels, interacts with others, and experiences in their environment. It is estimated that 1 in 70 people are on the Autism Spectrum.
In Eneca we pride ourselves in being Autism Spectrum Disorder Experts. Our support workers are company trained in Autism spectrum levels. This allows our support workers to best support you.
Because of this we understand that every participant is diverse in their interactions, hence why we cater each NDIS plan to your specific need of support.
If you choose to stay at one of our Support Temporary home the environment, will cater to your stimulation, we have also catered activities that you can choose to participate with us, or we can support you attending outside activities as part of your plan to increase your growth in the community.
What we do
When you encounter the NDIS, it might be a time of firsts: your first major lifestyle change, your first need for care and your first interaction with a large system.
We get it – our goal is to help you navigate the path you need to take to get you back home and feeling safe. We’ll develop a program around you that is nourishing, practical and gives you and your family a sense of forward momentum.
Each year the demand for disability carers in Australia continues to grow. In 2021 the NDS Chief Executive David Moody said 430,000 Australians where currently being supported under the NDIS. Despite this he further added that the estimated shortage of workers still required is about 120,000.
That said, we also know that not everybody within the caring industry is suited to provide care. Many are drawn to the industry as a stop gap, or transitory phase in their working lives and sometimes because Providers are so desperate to employ staff, they can forget that employing the wrong staff can produce horrific outcomes resulting in all manner of abuse towards participants.
At Eneca we realise the potential for this happening which is why all of our staff are firstly vetted through an online Psychometric assessment developed by our friends at Care Advantage.
Our short online Psychometric test is normed against a pool of over 150,000 Australian Carers.
Therefore, when a carer does complete their assessment, we know immediately if the carer has an elevated hiring risk across:
Hostility: How does this candidate handle feelings around Aggression, Anger and Hostility
Conscientiousness: How dependable, organised, and reliable is this applicant?
Integrity: How likely is this applicant to always act with integrity and honesty.
Did you know that 3 out of every ten-care staff assessed within the sample of 150,000 carers exhibit high to very high-risk factors where Hostility, Conscientiousness and Integrity come into question?
At Eneca this is a risk we are not prepared to take.
You want to make a difference. You’re not just looking for a job – you’re looking to make a real impact.
We understand the reality of undertaking a caregiving role: it often leads to burnout, frustration and while fulfilling, has its bad days.
In commencing our service, the first question we asked was How can we provide quality care to others if we are not first, properly looking after ourselves?
Carer Burnout and fatigue are very real across our industry. So much so that the incidence of anxiety and depression amongst carers in Australia is double that as compared to the average population.
With this top of mind, we have developed our own Health and Wellness Program which is now a free offering to all Eneca staff.
Every fortnight our Wellness Facilitator offers online and interactive tutorials to everybody in our company. Some of the topics presented are:
On top of this (and developed by our Brisbane based technology partners) all ENECA staff are provided with the use of a Wellness (I phone / Android) App.
The app, specifically designed for daily use, provides our staff with a plethora of Health and Wellness information, exercises, and strategies to assist in living our best lives.
At Eneca we believe our participants Health and Wellness is equally important as our own which is why our highest intention is to make absolutely everybody we connect with feel “respected, valued and lighter”
Finding the right support services for our clients is like choosing furniture for a home. It must feel comfortable, be practical and fit the space.
We’re not driven by vanity metrics when it comes to services. It’s about our relationship. We are, after all, people working towards a common goal: helping participants achieve their NDIS plan goals.
If you’re an NDIS service provider looking to form a partnership and join the Eneca family, let’s talk.
